A Belated May Day Holiday

Finally went on a trip for May Day. Started with high hopes, but good moods don't always last.

Finally went on a trip for May Day. I was really looking forward to it — the past few weeks had been pretty stressful, so I wanted to take this chance to properly unwind. Another reason was that Figure was coming to visit and we’d be going out together, which made it even more exciting.

That paragraph above was what I’d planned to write right after the trip, thinking I’d ride the wave of my good mood and update the blog. Surely anything written in a good mood would be full of positive energy — something I could look back on later to cheer myself up. But honestly, I’m sorry to say my good mood didn’t even last a week.

I always feel like I can’t quite put my true feelings into words, but I know that I’ve been in a pretty terrible mood lately. I just can’t seem to adjust my emotions — that might be the thing I’m worst at. But at least I haven’t given up yet. There’s still hope.

Fatty got a girlfriend and didn’t even tell us — that was unexpected. But he finally did it. Good for him.

Before Feichao left for the army, I said I’d go see him one last time, but I was too lazy and never made it. My bad. He’s stationed in the Beijing military district now. His girlfriend took a hard-seat train all the way to see him. He got an outing pass and got to see his favorite person. That’s really sweet.

I’m so jealous they have girlfriends. And it’s not just that they have girlfriends — I’m jealous that they’re all so happy. Feichao loves his girlfriend so much. Fatty’s girlfriend loves him so much.

Okay, I really am…
